Finance Manager

Full-Time, Hybrid Position

The Finance Manager is responsible for the implementation of companywide financial and business practices. Responsibilities include oversight and administration of the organization’s financial budgeting and accounting systems, payroll, grant and donor management, and supply inventory management. Under the direction of the Executive Director, this individual controls and tracks confidential vital data and documents to manage organization-wide compliance, monitor the organization’s financial status, and project financial stability into the future.

Emergency Shelter Staff

The Charter House Coalition, Addison County’s only 24-hour emergency homeless shelter is looking to hire 1-2 persons to join our amazing team of shelter staff. The primary responsibility of this compassionate group is to maintain a safe and consistent environment for our guests and to help build a trusting rapport with those we serve, not only through our shelter but also through our community food program and social services, which involve many within our greater community.

Shelter staff members oversee our day-to-day programs. This may include monitoring guest activity, completing wellness checks, guiding cleaning routines, schedules, and involvement with enrichment activities. This is a direct service’s role that concentrates on ensuring the safety, well-being, and harmony within the house. Light on administrative tasks and perfect for those that prefer using their people skills. This is not a case management role.

Experience working or volunteering at an emergency shelter or in a similar setting is appreciated but not required. Skills specific to serving individuals who are houseless, navigating substance use, addiction recovery, mental illness, aging, and or those that are differently abled, are encouraged to apply. Training will be provided. Applicants should be physically able to lift up to 40lbs and be able to use stairs.

Full, part-time, and per diem opportunities with day, evening, and awake overnight shifts are available. Starting pay is $17-$19/hour depending on experience. Benefits for all include accrued PTO and a gym membership. Full-time staff, working 40 hours weekly, are eligible for our medical benefits package.
